What are dentures?
Dentures are removable prosthetic teeth attached to a gum-colored or pink base. A great option for our patients who are looking for a more affordable, less-invasive treatment option, dentures can be used to replace all of the teeth in your smile or just a few. Dr. Navkiran Dhillon, our talented dentist, will be able to determine what is best for your smile after a thorough consultation. At Dhillon Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, we offer two types of dentures, full dentures and partial dentures. The type you need will be based on your individual needs and goals.
What is the difference between full and partial dentures?
Full dentures are what most people think of when they think of dentures. Shaped like a horseshoe, full dentures are used to replace all of the teeth in either your upper or lower dental arch, or both. They rest snugly on the gums and can also be stabilized with a dental adhesive. Partial dentures, on the other hand, require some natural teeth to remain in your smile in order to be effective. They replace missing teeth while being supported by metal framework, your natural teeth, and gums. At our dental office, we also use dental implants to support both full and partial dentures.
